Russia sees Armenians as a fraternal nation but has certain
questions to the country’s leadership. Spokesperson for the Russian President
Dmitry Peskov said this.
“Russia considers the ratification of the Rome Statute
inappropriate as far as the bilateral relationships are concerned,” Peskov
said.
He noted that Armenia is a friendly country and a partner
for Russia.
“We have a lot in common with the fraternal Armenian people
and have no doubt that we will be linked by this bond forever. However, we have
certain questions to the current Armenian leadership. The Armenian side was
presented with these issues beforehand,” Peskov added.
