Hamas approves list of potential hostages for exchange with Israel

Palestinian group Hamas has approved a list of 34 hostages who could be exchanged with Israel as part of a ceasefire deal in Gaza, Reuters writes, referring to a group official.

“Hamas has approved a list of 34 hostages presented by Israel to be exchanged in a possible ceasefire deal,” the source told the news agency.

The official reiterated that any deal is contingent upon reaching an agreement on an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and a permanent ceasefire.
