Israel’s defense minister instructs military to develop plan for Hamas destruction

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has instructed the country’s military to present a comprehensive plan for the complete destruction of the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip if Israeli hostages are not released before the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

“If the deal for the release of hostages is not implemented before President Trump assumes office, it is necessary to ensure the total defeat of Hamas in Gaza,” Katz stated during a meeting with senior military officials.

He has tasked the chief of the General Staff of the Israeli army with presenting the plan for the complete destruction of Hamas.
