Israeli lawmakers urge Netanyahu against deal with Hamas
Ten lawmakers from the ruling coalition in Israel have called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to agree to a proposed deal with the Palestinian movement regarding settlement in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages. The relevant letter was published by the Kan public broadcasting corporation, RIA Novosti reports.
Among the signatories are members of the ruling Likud party, who expressed support for maintaining the presence of Israeli forces at the Rafah crossing on the Gaza-Egypt border, as well as in the Netzarim corridor, which divides the northern and southern parts of the Palestinian enclave.
