Shahramanyan discusses issues of civilians’ transfer from Artsakh to Armenia
On Sept. 15, Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan called a
meeting, the Central Information Department of the President’s Office reports.
The meeting addressed issues high on the agenda: the
situation facing the republic caused by the total blockade by Azerbaijan and
the possible mechanisms for handling it.
“We must immediately redress people’s grievances, take all
necessary measures to fight the rise in prices of agricultural products, bring
prices under control and fairly distribute the limited supplies that we have,”
the president noted.
Shahramanyan also referred to the problems regarding the
transfer of civilians from Artsakh to Armenia under the supervision of the
Russian peacekeepers and the Red Cross. He noted that these operations should
be conducted transparently, under close supervision and established procedures.
Shahramanyan also highlighted the need for working groups to operate on the
ground.
