
Armenian hostages and prisoners should not be targeted over their testimonies
Azerbaijan continues to pursue its long-held objectives. Once the fear of Azerbaijanis, military-political leaders of Artsakh, now held hostage in Baku, are facing trials in enemy courts. Most of these judicial proceedings, marred by torture, mistreatment, and coercion, remain largely unreported. The information that reaches us is only what Azerbaijan allows to be disclosed.
Former Presidents of Artsakh, Arkadi Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan, have been interrogated. According to Azerbaijani media, Sahakyan allegedly stated that during the First Artsakh War, the first batch of military equipment and the first detachments arrived from Armenia during the 1988 movement. Ghukasyan, in turn, allegedly noted that Robert Kocharyan was one of the organizers of the Artsakh movement and rallies in Armenia.
