Iran’s and Azerbaijan’s foreign ministers hold phone conversation

The foreign ministers of Iran and Azerbaijan held a phone conversation today. According to an official statement released by the Azerbaijani side, Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized the importance of expanding political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Iran.

The strategic significance of joint transport, energy, and investment projects between the two countries was highlighted.

“In particular, it was noted that the transport corridor passing through Iran, along with other infrastructure connecting Azerbaijan’s western regions to Nakhijevan, creates new opportunities for the region,” reads the statement issued by Baku.
