Hungary refuses to support EU proposal for new aid package to Ukraine
Hungary does not support the EU’s proposal to allocate a new military aid package worth at least €20 billion to Ukraine and will not participate in it, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said following a meeting of EU foreign ministers, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“The European Commission is proposing to spend another €20 billion on supplying weapons to Ukraine. Hungary, of course, does not support this proposal at all, and we are also not ready to participate. We will not allow Hungarian money to be used for further arms supplies, as it will be spent on prolonging the war,” Szijjarto told Hungarian journalists.
