
Georgia’s president and Azerbaijan’s prime minister discuss situation in South Caucasus
Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov in Baku. During the meeting, the sides discussed the main directions of strategic partnership between the two countries and issues of cooperation in various sectors, including regional and international formats.
As noted, the primary focus was on deepening trade and economic relations and developing regional joint projects. According to Azerbaijani media, the importance of the Middle Corridor was particularly emphasized, and issues related to increasing freight transportation capabilities were discussed.
The parties also stressed the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.
