Greek Foreign Minister: I plan to visit Armenia in the near future
Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis has announced
his plans to visit Armenia in the near future. As Armenpress reports,
Gerapetritis said this at the Eastern Partnership (EaP) ministerial
meeting.
“Today, we are here at the Foreign Affairs
Council with a difficult and important agenda. We will start with the issue of
relations between Armenia and the European Union. Greece welcomes the peace
process that is now under way in the South Caucasus. Thanks to the efforts of
Greece, Armenia has been invited to the Foreign Affairs Council to present its
position on a lasting peace in a broader region. I personally had a long
conversation with the Armenian foreign minister and intend to visit Armenia in
the near future. Besides, today I will have the opportunity to meet both the
Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers,” Gerapetritis
