Leader of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, Pope of
Alexandria and patriarch of the See of St. Mark Tawadros II received Primate of
the Armenian Diocese of Egypt Bishop Ashot Mnatsakanian and Armenian Ambassador
to Egypt Hrachya Poladian, the Coptic Orthodox Church reports.
They referred to the blockade of Artsakh. Pope Tawadros II
called on the Azerbaijani authorities to open the Lachin corridor.
“The leader of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria
expressed hope that peace will be established between the two neighboring
countries. The primate of the Armenian Diocese of Egypt and the Armenian
ambassador to Egypt invited Leader of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria
Tawadros II to attend the ceremony of the Blessing of the Holy Muron in October.
The pope promised to send a delegation from the Coptic Orthodox Church to
Etchmiadzin to attend the ceremony,” reads the statement.
