On Aug. 31, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr
Hovhannisyan received Russian Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russian Foreign
Ministry’s Special Representative on Normalization of Relations between Armenia
and Azerbaijan Igor Khovaev.
The sides discussed the humanitarian crisis in
Nagorno-Karabakh and the efforts made to overcome it.
“With regard to regional peace, the sides reaffirmed the
need to adhere to the provisions of the tripartite Statement of November 9,
2020, and highlighted the importance of the opening of the Lachin corridor,”
reads the statement.
