Protesters outside ICRC did not allow employee leave building
Today, a group of young people gathered outside the ICRC office in Yerevan. They demanded that the ICRC provide the transportation of 21-year-old Helen Dadayan’s body to the Republic of Artsakh. Helen died in the Shirak road accident.
An incident occurred during the protest. After the protesters blocked the entrance to the ICRC building, one of the employees tried to get out of the building, saying that he wanted to go home as his working day had ended.
However, the young people from Artsakh did not allow him to leave the building, noting that they are not allowed to go home and see their families for months on end either. As a result, an argument between the ICRC representative and the protesters broke out.
“I want to go home as well. It has been two years since I have not seen my mother and brother,” one of the protesters said. In response, the ICRC representative said that they are doing their utmost. The protesters, however, did not allow him to leave the building.
