Delivery of the verdict on the case of Hayakve Coordinator Avetik
Chalabyan has been delayed.
“The postponement of the court hearing was a surprise for
me. I thought the final hearing would take place today, and the punishment
issue would be discussed,” Chalabyan said to the press.
Chalabyan is not aware of the reasons why the hearing was
postponed.
“To be honest, we were surprised when the prosecution
refused to make a speech today. I suppose some questions remain unanswered for
them as well, as there is a problem of interpretation regarding this court
case. I think the prosecution has difficulty understanding how to formulate the
request for punishment,” he noted.
As Chalabyan said, the next hearing will be held on Dec. 13.
