Frank Pallone: The U.S. must provide Armenia with security assistance to ensure a lasting peace in the Caucasus

U.S. Congressman Frank Pallone welcomed the agreement
between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the release of 32 Armenian POWs. The parties
issued a joint statement on this on Dec. 7, Armenpress reports. 

The congressman noted that the U.S. must provide security
assistance to Armenia.

“Glad to see that Armenia and Azerbaijan were able to come
to an agreement to release 32 Armenian prisoners. This is an important step
forward, but the U.S. must provide Armenia with security assistance to ensure a
lasting peace in the Caucasus,” Pallone wrote.
