The U.N. Security Council session on the humanitarian
situation in Artsakh is scheduled for Aug. 16.

“Complying with the request submitted by Armenia, the
session will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Aug. 16,” the U.S. Mission to the
U.N. stated.

The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Foreign
Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will leave for New York to attend the U.N. Security
Council emergency special session. The session will take place at Armenia’s
request and will discuss the aggravating humanitarian situation in Artsakh
caused by Azerbaijan’s total blockade.
