Taguhi Tovmasyan goes to court to restore her to her powers of Chair of Committee
MP Taguhi Tovmasyan from the opposing NA With Honor faction
went to court to be restored to her powers as Chair of the Standing Committee
on Protection of Human Rights. The MP said this today during her briefing.
“I demand that my powers be restored, as the overall
process was totally illegal,” the MP noted.
According to Tovmasyan, her incapacity for work was reported
to the president of the National Assembly in advance.
To remind, the ruling Civil Contract (KP) faction terminated
the powers of Taguhi Tovmasyan as the Chair of the Standing Committee on
Protection of Human Rights. The reason for the termination of powers of the
opposition deputy, as set out by KP was that she failed to take part in the NA
sessions.
