Unemployment rising in Artsakh

Calamitous statistics from Artsakh. So far, unemployment has
hit more than 14,600 people, and these rates continue to increase day by day.
According to Artsakhpress, Deputy Chairperson of the Artsakh State Revenue
Committee Armine Musaelyan said this in her interview on July 21.

“In order to mitigate the social and economic effects
of the blockade, since January the government has launched eight programs,
directly aimed at protecting jobs or giving compensation to those employees who
have already lost their jobs. Three of these programs were carried out by the
State Revenue Committee. The last program has entered its final phase. All
three programs were aimed at reimbursing the taxpayers employed in the most
affected sectors so that we could pay the wages of salaried employees and the
taxes imposed on them. One billion 937 million drams were allocated from the
state budget to this program. This money was used to reimburse more than 4,600
salaried employees for their wages and taxes,” Armine Musayelyan said.
