Parents of soldiers missing in action go on indefinite sit-in outside Government House
The parents of the soldiers of the Chemists military unit,
who are missing in action, have gathered outside the government building and
demand a meeting with Nikol Pashinyan.
“We want to meet with Pashinyan so that we can know
what to expect regarding the return of our sons,” one of the parents,
Hripsime Hakobyan noted. She also added that the parents of the soldiers
missing in action are neglected.
One of the parents, Karine Manavazyan said that the
government should have given priority to the issue of POWs and soldiers missing
in action instead of “asphalting the roads”.
“We saw how POWs were returned five days before the
elections and five days after the elections. How did it happen? Was it because
elections were to be held?” she said.
The parents will stage an indefinite sit-in outside the
government building until Pashinyan receives them.
