Keep your promise. We put our trust in you: Letter of the people of Artsakh to Russian President

Artsakh residents now living in Armenia and dozens of other
citizens marched to the Embassy of the Russian Federation from the U.N. office
in Armenia. The protesters demanded that Russia unblock the Lachin corridor.
Coordinator of the Congress of Refugees from the Azerbaijani SSR Mariam Avagyan
turned to the Russian president: “Putin, keep your promise. We put our
trust in you.The lifeline should be opened. Today, it is a matter of life and
death for the people of Artsakh. Breaking communication with Armenia through
the Lachin corridor is one of the ways to force Armenians out of Artsakh.
Azerbaijan surely wants to have Artsakh without Armenians. And if Armenians
don’t leave Artsakh of their own free will, Azerbaijan will undoubtedly try to
solve the issue through military methods, that is creation of an intolerable
situation for the people of Artsakh. This is exactly what they are doing today
by opening fire on the Armenians working in fields. It is more than obvious
that Azerbaijan wants to wage a new war.
