Aliyev condemns Russian strike on Azerbaijani embassy building in Kyiv, says Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, pravda.com.ua reports.

Zelensky said Russia launched hundreds of drones and missiles overnight, including ballistic missiles, against Ukraine, causing widespread destruction and also damaging Azerbaijan’s embassy.

He stressed that Aliyev condemned the strike, noting this was not the first time Russian forces had targeted the embassy building or other facilities connected to Azerbaijan.

“We also discussed bilateral relations and the development of our partnership. There is now a green light for cooperation in all areas. The potential is enormous, and we intend to realize it,” Zelensky said.
