Ruben Vardanyan: The war is not over yet; It is necessary to give people hope to live and fight

During the 6th International Medical Congress in Armenia, a discussion entitled “Diaspora-Armenia-Artsakh” took place. Former Artsakh Minister of State Ruben Vardanyan also participated in the discussion through a video conference.

In his speech, Ruben Vardanyan referred to the situation at hand and the moral and psychological state of people: “After the war, people still do not want to accept the current reality, and we are facing the most dangerous thing – indifference,” Ruben Vardanyan said.

According to him, first of all, people need to be given hope and will to fight. However, Vardanyan emphasized that some forces are doing everything to break that will to fight. “For many years, theses have been put forward that by ceding Artsakh, we will get rid of a thorn in our side, sacrifices are meaningless, women are not happy, etc. It is necessary to resist all this and give people hope for life,” he underlined.

Ruben Vardanyan presented the healthcare program that is currently being implemented in Artsakh. According to him, a long-term program is being carried out, under which a management system will be developed over the years. It will enable ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the health care system even in times of crisis. However, this requires appropriate infrastructure, which is what they are working towards now.

“In order to realize this and achieve the end goal, we all must participate. The blockade is the most dangerous situation, but there is always a way out. We just need to understand that the war is not over yet.”

There are already a roadmap and a clear sequence of steps on how the upcoming programs should be implemented. Despite the fact that the blockade creates additional problems every day, everything possible is being done to maximize the implementation of programs.
