Iranian Oil Industry Minister: Negotiations with Russia on the establishment of a gas hub in Iran are going very well
Iranian Oil Industry Minister Javad Owji said that discussions on the establishment of a gas hub in Iran continue with various countries, including Russia.
“For two months now, we have been holding very good negotiations with Russia on the establishment of a national gas hub in Iran. We have large gas reserves and the necessary infrastructure. And apart from us, our neighbors – Qatar and Turkmenistan – also have excellent potential in gas reserves.
These factors provide for a perfect opportunity to turn Iran into a regional gas hub,” Owji said.
Earlier, the Iranian official said that Iran planned to create a gas hub in the Persian Gulf, with the participation of Iran, Russia, Turkmenistan and Qatar.
