The Russian Federation is extremely concerned about the frequent violations of the ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh and the ongoing blockade of the Lachin Corridor, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
“The humanitarian situation in the region is worsening. We are forced to acknowledge that the population of Karabakh may be left without supplies of food, essential commodities and medicine due to disruption in supplies,” Zakharova said.
She noted this contradicts the tripartite agreements reached between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“We call on Baku and Yerevan to resolve all issues exclusively through political and diplomatic means. We call on the Azerbaijani side to unblock the Lachin Corridor, ensure unimpeded movement of citizens, vehicles, and goods for civil purposes,” Zakharova noted.
