As reported, their engagement is considered crucial for any meaningful regional cooperation and could even offer an additional advantage by pushing EU–Turkey relations in a more constructive direction.
The article notes that Armenia and Azerbaijan are indispensable for the viability of the Middle Corridor.
“Perhaps Armenia could become the next Moldova,” one EU official joked, referring to Chișinău’s status as an EU-associated member and its accession negotiations launched last year.
