Bayramov says Baku sees no reason for Yerevan to reject proposal to hold 3+3 meeting in Azerbaijan

Bayramov says Baku sees no reason for Yerevan to reject proposal to hold 3+3 meeting in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart that Armenia has no reason not to accept Azerbaijan’s proposal, which was first made in 2024. Bayramov added that the offer still stands.

“When the 3+3 format was established, it was noted that this initiative was proposed by the president of Azerbaijan, and three meetings have already taken place within this framework. During the meeting in October 2024, it was proposed that the next meeting be chaired by Azerbaijan, and it was noted that with the further consent of Armenia, it would also be held there. Unfortunately, such an agreement was not reached, and the Armenian side did not agree. Now the situation is different, and the organization of these meetings is being discussed through other channels,” Bayramov said.

He stated that Azerbaijan is ready to host the meeting.
