Overchuk: Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Ministers agree on the railway route
The latest meeting between the Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani deputy prime ministers lasted nine hours. Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexey Overchuk made a statement on this. According to him, during the meeting an agreement was reached on the railway route and on how the customs control operations will be carried out.
“It’s going to be an ordinary railway. No one questions the sovereignty of Armenia, and all parties have expressed a desire to begin the unblocking process as soon as possible,” he said.
Deputy Prime Minister of Russia added that it is Armenia that should open up the opportunity for the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation to carry out border control operations.
