RA Deputy PM: If corridors imply a special regime, we won’t negotiate on them. It’s a red line

The term “corridor” has been used from different perspectives. It has often been declared a transport corridor, which is a universally accepted term. RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said this, referring to the statement about the so-called Zangezur corridor.

“We are always willing to talk about transport and communication. But when it comes to corridors, if they imply a special regime, we refuse to negotiate on them. It’s a red line for us,” said Grigoryan.

Grigoryan also referred to the statements that in case of unblocking the corridor, an international organization may carry out customs control operations, and noted that this is not under discussion at the moment.

“Such ideas have been put forward but no format with this regard has been developed yet. RA sovereign infrastructure will come under the RA jurisdiction.”
