Syria apologizes to Turkey over ‘technical glitch’
In a recent joint press conference in Syria, a technical glitch occurred, and the Syrian side has apologized for the situation, a spokesperson for Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Öncü Keçeli, said, Ermenihaber.am reports.
Keçeli explained that during the joint press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, a technical issue arose at the end of the session. The Syrian side apologized for the circumstances caused to the Turkish delegation.
The spokesperson noted that while Fidan was answering a question about developments in Gaza, the interpreter’s voice was not transmitted to the audience. Because of this issue, the Syrian official chairing the meeting prematurely ended the session, mistakenly believing that Fidan had finished speaking.
