115 arrested in Turkey over suspected plans for terror attacks during holidays

Turkish authorities have arrested 115 people on suspicion of planning terrorist attacks during the Christmas and New Year period, Turkish daily Sabah reports.

According to the report, militants linked to the terrorist group Islamic State were allegedly preparing attacks targeting non-Muslim citizens.

The Istanbul prosecutor’s office had issued detention warrants for 137 suspects as part of the investigation.
