
Kim Jong Un orders increase in missile production in 2026 and opening of new facilities
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has visited the country’s leading military-industrial plants and inspected the production of missiles and shells, kommersant.ru writes.
He ordered an increase in ammunition production volumes in 2026.
According to reports, Kim Jong Un praised the work of the military-industrial enterprises this year and outlined the economic and technical goals for the coming year. He spoke about the “future demand” for the use of missiles and artillery weapons and the need to “strengthen the technical base of related production facilities” in order to expand production capacities.
Kim Jong Un also stated that at the upcoming 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, a decision will be made on the establishment of new military-industrial enterprises.
