Upcoming Trump-Zelensky meeting signals progress in talks, Axios writes

The meeting scheduled for Sunday between Vladimir Zelensky and Donald Trump is seen as a sign of “significant progress” in the peace negotiations, Axios reports.

Earlier, Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported that the Ukrainian and US presidents may meet on Sunday at Trump’s private residence in Florida.

Prior to this, Zelensky had already announced that a meeting with the American leader is expected “in the near future.”

Axios also reminds readers that Trump had previously stated he would meet with Zelensky only if he felt that the deal was close to completion.
