Zakharova։ Russia remains committed to the provisions of the Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian leaders’ tripartite statements
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova refrained from commenting on the ongoing Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations in Washington, stating that she will address it when the two sides make a statement after the talks.
“Russia remains committed to the provisions of the tripartite statements made by the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation from 2020 to 2022,” Zakharova said. She noted that the negotiations in Washington are proceeding without Russia’s participation, so the participants should be inquired about the process.
“The two sides will probably make statements after the talks, then it will be possible to form an opinion and make a comment,” said Zakharova. Referring to the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers to be held in Moscow, Zakharova reminded that Yerevan and Baku had expressed willingness to meet in Moscow, but the date will be announced later.
