Russia and Iran condemn US attack on Venezuela

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has described the U.S. justifications for aggression against Venezuela as unfounded.

In a statement regarding the U.S. military action against Venezuela, the ministry emphasized the importance of preventing further escalation and called for a resolution through dialogue.

“Latin America must remain a zone of peace, as it declared itself in 2014. Venezuela must be guaranteed the right to determine its own destiny without any destructive, and especially external military, intervention. We reaffirm our solidarity with the people of Venezuela and support its Bolivarian leadership’s course aimed at defending national interests and sovereignty,” the ministry stated.

Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also strongly condemned the U.S. military strike on Venezuela, describing it as a blatant violation of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
