Clashes in Armenian-populated areas of Aleppo
Clashes broke out today in Aleppo between the internal security units of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian army, the local Armenian newspaper Gandzasar reports.
“Gunfire and shelling can be heard in the districts of Nor Gyugh, Sheikh Taha, Jaya, Ashrafiyeh, Sheikh Magust, Villaner, and Suleymaniyeh. Bullet marks are visible on buildings. The president has urged residents of these neighborhoods to stay indoors,” the newspaper writes.
According to Gandzasar, the clashes briefly stopped for about an hour but resumed approximately 30 minutes ago in the same districts.
The newspaper also reports that at least 15 people have been injured, including children.
