‘Death to Khamenei’: Protests continue in Iran with fatalities reported

Protesters in Iran staged a rally outside a Keshavarzi Bank branch in Iran’s Ilam province, according to the Free Iran Telegram channel.

Reports say demonstrators entered the bank building during the protest and destroyed all documents inside.

Videos circulating on social media show residents of Sirvan, declaring a general strike, shutting down shops, and taking to the streets in protest. Protesters were heard chanting slogans of “Death to Khamenei.”

Meanwhile, clashes erupted in the city of Shiraz between protesters and security forces. According to reports, demonstrators armed with stones forced security personnel to retreat.

On Monday, a police colonel, Shahin Dehghan, was killed during protests in the city of Malard in Tehran province. Reports say he was stabbed while attempting to disperse demonstrators. Earlier, the deaths of three other police officers had also been reported.
