
CSTO to focus on deepening foreign policy coordination among member states during Russia’s presidency
A meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin.
CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov, who assumed office on Jan. 1, 2026, emphasized the importance of consolidated efforts to implement the priorities of Russia’s presidency. The key priorities are aimed at strengthening ties among allies and enhancing the CSTO’s role in shaping a fair and indivisible security architecture in Eurasia.
Pankin noted that Russia will join forces with its allies to uphold common approaches to addressing international security issues. Particular emphasis will be placed on deepening foreign policy coordination among CSTO member states.
