EU welcomes release of Armenian prisoners

The European Union has welcomed the handover of Vagif Khachatryan, Gevorg Sujyan, Davit Davtyan, and Vigen Euljeqchyan to Armenia by Azerbaijan, Anitta Hipper, Spokesperson for the EU’s External Action Service, said in an X post.

“This is an important step in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The EU will continue to support further positive steps between the two countries,” Hipper said.

Magdalena Grono, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, also welcomed the release of the four prisoners.
