
Putin receives US invitation to join Gaza Peace Council
Russian President Vladimir Putin has received an invitation from the United States to join the Gaza Peace Council, and the proposal is currently under review, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, according to RIA Novosti.
“Yes, indeed, President Putin has received an invitation to join this Peace Council. We are currently examining all the details of this proposal. We hope to establish contact with the American side to clarify all the nuances,” Peskov added.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had announced the creation of a Gaza Peace Council, saying its composition would be made public soon. The council includes US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Trump’s son-in-law and investor Jared Kushner, former British PM Tony Blair, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and US Deputy National Security Adviser Robert Gabriel.
