Kyiv on the brink of humanitarian disaster, mayor says

Kyiv is on the brink of a humanitarian disaster due to Russian military strikes, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said in an interview with The Times.

He reported that Russian missiles had hit one of Kyiv’s thermal power plants.

“The situation with essential utilities — heating, water, and electricity — is critical. Currently, 5,600 residential buildings remain without heating,” Klitschko added.
