
Clashes erupt during anti-government protests in Albania
Clashes broke out between police and opposition supporters in Albania’s capital, Tirana, as protesters demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, Euronews writes.
Demonstrators hurled Molotov cocktails, flares, and fireworks toward the government building housing the prime minister’s office, while police responded with water cannons and tear gas.
Explosions were heard near parliament.
According to police, at least 16 officers were injured during the unrest.
