US drone disappears over Iran
The American portal Defense Network has published an article about the disappearance of a US Navy MQ-4C Triton drone over Iran, EurAsia Daily reports.
According to military experts, the drone may have been deactivated by Russian or Chinese systems.
“A modern drone disappeared from radar over the Persian Gulf, south of Iran, on Feb. 21 or 22, 2026, after sending a distress signal. The drone had taken off from Abu Dhabi and was conducting scheduled reconnaissance flights at an altitude of approximately 10 kilometers when communication with it was lost,” the website writes.
Experts believe the drone was not shot down but rather deactivated. According to them, the drone’s disappearance occurred at a time when tensions between the United States and Iran had reached a critical point.
