Video of Clintons’ testimony in Epstein case released

On Monday, the US House Oversight Committee released video footage of separate hours-long depositions given by former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the BBC writes.

In their testimonies, both officials stated that they had no prior knowledge of late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.

During Hillary Clinton’s questioning, the issue of “Pizzagate” was raised — a conspiracy theory alleging that a child abuse ring linked to her inner circle operated out of a Washington, DC, pizzeria. Clinton called Pizzagate “totally made up” and described it as an allegation that “ended up hurting a number of people.”

In his opening remarks before the Oversight Committee, Bill Clinton said he hopes his involvement in the Epstein investigation will “prevent something like this from happening again.”

The former president also stated that his relationship with Epstein ended years ago, before Epstein’s crimes were revealed.
