Garibashvili: Tbilisi’s peace initiative between Yerevan and Baku has produced concrete results
Tbilisi is interested in long-term peace and stability in
the region. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said this.
He noted that Azerbaijan is making a major contribution to
this.
Garibashvili noted that Georgia maintains friendly
relationships with Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey.
As he said, Tbilisi launched the peace initiative two years
ago, and Georgia’s efforts in this regard have produced concrete results.
“We are of course interested in long-term peace and
stability in the region. Georgia’s contribution to this has been significant.
We had a unique opportunity to hold a meeting with the leaders of the three countries.
I think that was a significant achievement. Visits to our country are frequent.
I have visited Azerbaijan several times; the Azerbaijani president and the
Armenian prime minister visited Georgia,” Garibashvili said.
