Court hearing on Gagik Voskanyan’s case postponed; Voskanyan not brought to court
The court hearing on the case of reservist Gagik Voskanyan
did not take place.
The hearing was scheduled for Nov. 30 in Baku; it has been
postponed.
As the Azerbaijani media reports, the reason for the
postponement was that Voskanyan was not brought to court. The court hearing was
to take place in the Ganja Court dealing with serious crimes, under the
chairmanship of Judge Abdulla Mamedov.
Thus, the first hearing on Voskanyan’s case will take place
on Dec. 4.
To remind, Gagik Voskanyan was abducted on Aug. 16, 2023.
The Armenian Defense Ministry announced that the military training participant
had voluntarily left his military position. After this, the Azerbaijani Defense
Ministry announced the arrest of an Armenian serviceman and accused the RA
Armed Forces of an infiltration attempt made in the eastern part of the border
zone.
