Blinken: Full regional integration cannot be made possible without the creation of a Palestinian state
Israel will not achieve full regional integration without supporting the creation of a Palestinian state. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this at a press conference in Tel Aviv.
As he noted, every U.S. partner in the region agrees that peace can be established only through a regional approach, including a pathway to a Palestinian state.
“To make this possible, Israel must be a partner to Palestinian leaders who are willing to lead their people in living side by side in peace with Israel and as neighbors. And Israel must be – must stop taking steps that undercut Palestinians’ ability to govern themselves effectively,” Blinken said, announcing his plans to discuss the issue with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
