Aliyev keeps up with threats

In the run-up to the presidential elections in Azerbaijan, Aliyev has livened up. Having declared Jermuk and Yerevan “old Azerbaijani cities”, he has now turned to threats. Secretary of the RA State Council Armen Grigoryan claimed in a number of interviews that the peace treaty would ensure the security of Armenia, while the enemy state’s leader brags that nothing will stop them. These statements of Aliyev cannot be connected with the upcoming presidential elections in the country. Experts claim a dictatorial state has no motive for such statements during the pre-election campaign. Aliyev will be re-elected anyway.
