No honorary titles: the easiest way to fix failings 

Today, the Parliament was discussing the government’s bill on making amendments to the Law of the Republic of Armenia On State Awards and Honorary Titles of the Republic of Armenia.

Addressing Deputy Minister of Justice Armenuhi Harutyunyan, MP from the Armenia Alliance Gegham Nazaryan first wondered why it was her who was presenting the issue, noting that the matter lies within the province of the MoESCS. Then Nazaryan added that only 14% of young people know who Arno Babajanyan was, while 89% know Artash Asatryan. The MP noted that the role of the state is to stir up interest in the arts.
