Zelenskyy: Ukraine will demand an international investigation into the Il-76 crash

Ukraine intends to demand an international investigation into the crash of the Russian military Il-76 plane, carrying Ukrainian POWs. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this.

“Our state will insist on an international investigation,” Zelenskyy noted. The Ukrainian president’s message was posted on Telegram on Thursday, Jan. 25.

To remind, a Russian military Il-76 plane crashed in Belgorod Oblast yesterday, Jan. 24. The plane was carrying 65 Ukrainian POWs for exchange purposes. The POWs, the crew members and the accompanying soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces were killed in the crash.
