High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell’s statement that the conciliation between Russia and Ukraine would be a mistake, is “hideous and astonishing”. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said this on Radio Sputnik.
“This is another hideous statement, but it is perceived as “Well, this is Borrel”. Moreover, this is perceived the same way in the EU countries,” she said.
“We witness such things all the time, so this is in line with the essence of this man and those standing behind him. I cannot say that I am not shocked by Borrell’s new statements,” Zakharova noted.
